Peaceful yet cosy, private yet safe. The cottage had all the amenities we wish for a complete countryside getaway, from a fireplace to a hot tub to a vinyl player (plus great soundtracks). Night views were also amazing with clear unblocked skies. The cottage always felt safe from the strong winds in Twizel. Amy was also very proactive and reassuring. Highly recommend this place for the perfect countryside getaway!

At Amy’s cottage, we become synonymous with nature. When you look outside the cottage the feeling is so spiritual, full of solitude and inner peace. At the same time, inside the cottage Amy has thoughtfully provided for even all small small things which one may need for a stay. When Amy came to know we are driving in from Queenstown, she recommended couple of beautiful stops to stop at enroute. Probably we otherwise would have missed those stops since they were not in our bucket list. Will recommend everyone who loves nature and environment conservation to definitely stay here. This will be relaxing for the visitor and supporting a larger cause too.

Wow, this place is a highlight to our honeymoon. It’s private and quiet with beautiful surroundings. We didn’t want to leave. Amy the host was Fantastic with communication and giving us great recommendations. He partner is in a band so we had epic live music to listen to on our first night and had an outdoor tub to enjoy the stars in. Town isn’t too far and they have some great food choices too. We would come back here in a heartbeat. We loved it!

Really can't speak highly enough of my stay here - it's the trifecta of a tranquil location, beautiful/modern cabin, and exceptionally helpful + welcoming host! Even on a slightly cloudy night, the stars were incredible (esp. from the hot tub!). The house is modern + clean, and the kitchen is well-stocked with any supplies you might need. Amy was super responsive both ahead of booking, and also helped us get settled in (including teaching me how to use the wood-fired hot-tub – really cool!). This is what Airbnb should be like!

Wow, we were ready to move into this modern and serene cottage. Well designed indoor and outdoor spaces gave the perfect balance of cozy meets spacious. Every detail was considered- especially appreciated the functional kitchen and emergency toiletries in the bath. Perfect to relax before/ after Mount Cook adventures. Easy check-in/ out made the entire experience seamless. Amazing hosts!

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. A lovely base for exploring the surrounding area, and for our brief rainy day it was a beautiful place to pause. Favorites include the curated musical playlists, thoughtful breakfast items and hanging out on the trampoline under blankets (or in the hot tub) to enjoy the gorgeous stars and Milky Way.

Our stay at Amy and Jason's cottage in Twizel was so perfect, I honestly can't find a fault in it. It was our favorite airbnb of all the places we stayed. Not only are Amy and Jason wonderful hosts, but the cottage is so thoughtfully designed and organized - and stargazing out of their wood-burning tub was incredible. They have put so much work into their space, and they've done so with the intention to preserve the land/environment while providing a home like no other. I wish we could've stayed forever!

Hands down our favorite stay in New Zealand! My husband and I came for our honeymoon and couldn’t have had a more perfect end to our trip. Beautiful surroundings and the hot tub was amazing! Amy and Jason were the best Airbnb hosts we’ve had and made us feel right at home. Loved the retro garage too!

What can we say... we left this eco resort and already want to return. Menards is a slice of heaven that will also make you feel right at home. Jason and Amy have created something special. We loved everything, every minute we were there - the breakfast and handmade bread, the wood-fired hot tub, the trampoline to skygaze post bath, and everything in between. Jason has impeccable taste in music and is more than happy share his enthusiasm. Every guest should check out his playlists! Thanks again, Amy and Jason for the best stay in NZ!

Incredible private location just outside of Twizel. Accommodations were very comfortable and kitchen was one of the most useful of all the AirBNBs we’ve stayed in. The hot tub was easy to use and a treat against the cool evening with light misting. The shared garage space is a testament to the creativity of the hosts. Wish we had more time here! Excellent local recommendations for the balance of our trip.
